The international oven manufacturers BSH have issued a statement outlining an important change made to many of their ovens which means they are no longer compliant with Shabbos laws, thus rendering the Sabbath mode problematic. Those who recently purchased an oven from one of the named brands should note that BSH have opened a dedicated hotline for queries relating to this Sabbath mode issue.

Following recent changes undertaken by oven manufacturers in Germany, the Federation Rov, Rabbi Zimmerman, together with FedTech's Rabbi Guttentag, sent a letter to Rabbonim in the European region alerting them to a serious issue with the Sabbath mode of Bosch, NEFF & Siemens ovens.
