Federation Policies for Synagogues / Communities
This section of the website provides guidance to employees and volunteers working at the Federation’s Constituent Communities. The Federation is committed to ensuring that its synagogues are safe, welcoming and compliant with current legislation.
The health, safety and welfare of staff, members, visitors and the general public is vital to our continuing success, but we are equally keen to ensure that each community is able to maintain its unique and autonomous nature. As such, some of the content here will not be applicable to every community – there is a wide range of kehillos under the Federation umbrella and these resources have been compiled to cater for the entire spectrum of our membership.
Please note that the guidance and advice provided in this document is correct as of December 2022. Updates will be provided if legislation changes, however all communities should carry out regular appraisals of their procedures to ensure they remain compliant.
