Despite its name and its hechsher, the Sabbath mode oven does not necessarily offer the most convenient means of heating food for Shabbos. The hotplate/blech can, under the right conditions, be used to heat foods ON Shabbos; the oven can ONLY be used for food inserted beforehand.

Federation Launches New MaaserText Service

Following the enormous success of its halachic SMS service ShailaText, the Federation is this week launching a new communal resource, MaaserText, in response to the many she’eilos it has received regarding Israeli fruit and vegetables purchased in the United Kingdom.
