In order to comply with The Equality Act 2010 it is a requirement for service providers to carry out an access assessment, to ensure that facilities are suitable for people with disabilities, including gaining access to and leaving premises. Access to bathrooms and washing facilities suitable for people with disabilities must also be provided,

Provisions must be made to include people with disabilities in emergency situations and this may involve a Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP). In the event of any evacuation, individuals with disabilities must not be left alone.

More information on creating a PEEP can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/fire-safety-risk-assessment-means-of-escape-for-disabled-people/fire-safety-risk-assessment-means-of-escape-for-disabled-people-accessible-version
